Cl and OP have been married for over 25 years. He has been physically, sexually, and emotionally abusive throughout the marriage. He has gotten their 27 yo son to be emotionally abusive to Cl as well. Cl left after OP moved their son back in. Cl called the police, but they said they cant make the son leave if OP is allowing him to be there. No recent physical violence, so they couldn't arrest OP for the abuse. Cl said she has his criminal records because he was arrested for abuse. She thinks it was in the 90s. She has a copy of her marriage license. They got marriage at the JP.

Client has an approved VAWA I-360 (and a conditionally approved U visa) based on DV/SA from LPR husband. Her priority date is current and she's eligible for VAWA adjustment. She moved out of our service area and now lives in Dallas.
Arrived in the US as a visitor in 2013 and overstayed at age of 17. Now has 3 USC children ranging in age from 1-4 years. Father of the children was arrested in 2020 for family violence assault. Her ex took a plea and was sentenced to 5 years probation.
