His mother Anabell is in fear of losing home due to being behind on mortgage payments due to the bills. They were denied CVC assistance due to factors which led up to the shooting. Bryce and his friends were meeting Waymon to sell Waymon a small amount of marijuana. Rather than paying for that marijuana, he shot all three of the boys.
