Victim was defrauded by a title company and needs  legal advice on how to proceed. 

This referral is a victim in a wire fraud case. She has legal questions she needs help from an attorney who will work with her on a sliding scale. Please reach out to her for full details.

The victim in this case had several thousand dollars essentially stolen from her, at this time it's a misdemeanor charge.  I believe she is wanting assistance with going after the defendant to sue him civilly. I did make her aware that eligibility is based off of income. 

Client is a trafficking victim, abuser stole her car and transferred title into his own name. We are asking for assistance to get the title transferred back to victims name. 

Estela is a young adult client at GHIRP who has suffered a lot, she currently has an asylum case with the immigration office and is the derivative in a VAWA case (mom already got her VAWA based on DV). She and her partner gave $3,000 to her partner’s co-worker so he could buy them a car, but the person kept the money and did not give them a car. They tried to report the person that stole their money to the police but apparently the police said they could not do anything and that they needed to hire an attorney.
