We represent client in her U Visa application based on domestic violence from her ex-partner in December 2016. Her ex-partner was arrested, incarcerated and deported back to Mexico in February 2017. She seeks legal representation for sole managing conservatorship, and if possible, termination of parental rights, for their daughter so she can take care of her daughter without needing his signature. Client does not know his exact whereabouts in Mexico.

Mother of child contacted police and wanted child back. Child is now 14 years old. Since no paperwork in place, child was returned to mother by police. Client has concerns about child and her well being, child has made comments about suicide/running away due to the environment she is now in.
