Texas Department of Public Safety - Victim Services Program
The DPS Victim Services program has 14 licensed behavioral health professionals who provide mandated victim assistance as well as comprehensive services to victims of violent and non-violent crime, including vehicular crime and identity theft. Although our services focus on assisting victims during the investigative phase of the criminal justice system, we have the ability to provide support during prosecution or post-conviction. We serve victims and their family members. The program does serve victims who choose not to report their crime; however, if the crime falls under mandatory reporting laws we will have to report the crime.
