Julian is the 19-year-old son of one of our clients. He is the victim of DV and SA by our client’s spouse who is also guilty of bigamy. He is from Guatemala. He and his family entered into the US in 2018 through McAllen, Texas and sought asylum. For 2 years, they reported to the USCIS and received notification for a hearing. His USCIS application was under his mother’s but now he may need to be on his own since he is now considered an adult.

Applicant said she is seeking asylum from Venezuela due to harassment and violence she was subjected by the Venezuelan National Guard. Applicant said she and her family were subjected to tear gas being thrown into their home, and she was shot at while riding in a truck. She said she believes they were targeted because she and her husband were members of a group that protested against the Venezuelan government. Applicant stated she has an asylum hearing set for 11/12/19 @ 8:30 A.M. in Houston.
